“Buchfink” is an early alpha command-line application designed for keeping track of crypto trades and generating profit/loss statements as well as tax reports. It uses algorithms and data structures from the open source portfolio tracker “rotki,” but differs in its usage of a CLI (Command Line Interface) instead of GUI, and stores configuration and data in plain text files rather than an encrypted database. As per the user’s request, the application is not yet ready for use in actual tax or trading activities, but users are encouraged to report bugs and missing features. The architecture of Buchfink can be seen in a diagram, and there are links provided for installation, usage, configuration, and donation information.
