Open Source Maps for Everyone by Headway

The Headway Project aims to provide an alternative to traditional maps apps by bundling industry-standard software into a web app that allows users to easily set up their own offline map servers without sharing location data with corporations. Maps.earth is a planet-scale installation of Headway, but users can also create smaller-scale instances for personal use. The project’s documentation provides instructions on setting up maps servers for specific areas and customizing the environment variables in the .env file as needed.
